We are 2 years old!

There has been so much going on both at Individualism and in my personal life, from lifestyle changes to personal projects, that I actually forgot our own birthday.

There has been a wealth of change since our very first post. We’ve experienced some euphoric highs and some shattering lows. The original purpose of the blog was to help us communicate with our clients and provide valuable information for those interested in the style consultancy.

Many people thought its was naive for two inexperienced lads to start out an image consultancy business, we were dreamers, wishful thinks (well just our father) and although the direction of the brand has changed course (`the image consultancy is no longer) it opened up different doors and has led us onto a bigger and more positive path.

The website has now taken a life of it’s own. With dedicated, passionate writers, original video features and a store (well eventually) in the works I can gladly say I’m proud to have been that naive dreamer.

We have met some amazingly talented people along the way an that have intern inspired us to go further and push harder. I’ve learnt that life throws many obstacles along your path, sometimes to hinder you and sometimes to redirect you.

However the one thing I’ve always felt throughout is a sense of enjoyment and passion. As our Mission Statement suggests:

To document men’s style in a refreshing and unique way

while creating original content that informs and entertains men across the globe.

In a few day’s I’ll be announcing a shout out that may help make those last three words even more of a reality! Lastly a special thanks to all those of you whom have supported the cause and kept coming back to read. It’s a humbling experience knowing that people enjoy the work we put out. We wouldn’t be here without you guys.

If you’ve been following us recently, you’ll know that we’ve been looking for a contributor to join the team. And now we can say that the search is finally over.

Introducing Ayishat Akanbi. This über-chic stylist from London is the latest addition to the Individualism Team. With a wealth of experience in styling and extensive brand knowledge, Ayishat’s the perfect person to head our regular Brand Watch posts, bringing creative, young and undiscovered brands to the forefront.

Introducing COOLOGRAPHY

Firstly we’d like to apologise. We know we haven’t been posting a lot recently. There is a reason for the lack of content, and today we can finally reveal that to you.

Over the last few months we’ve been working out how best we could use our time to create the best quality content. We realised we needed a team of creative and talented individuals to aid us in producing videos and content that would help take Individualism to the next level.

Collectively, we’ve formed a creative production team…..COOLOGRAPHY. We won’t banter on about it too much, but in a nutshell, we do everything from video production and fashion photography to website design and branding. As our tagline suggests…

“We are a creative collective that love what we do“
