VA-G Eclectic Zip Up

I’ve always been a fan of eye-catching garments; clothes that make you take a second look. Not just in terms of patterns, but in terms of engineering too. Originality stems from a yearning to be different, to be yourself. I’ve come to learn that many designers do not reflect their creativity in what they chose to personally wear, but the boys over at VA-G have been living their brand before they even KNEW they wanted to design. Rag & Bone Hacking Stand Collar Jacket
I don’t usually opt for jackets without traditional collars, reason being that a good collar adds structure and helps frame my lamp post-like neck and prevents me looking like a damn swan!
But every now and then, an item comes along and makes me forget about all those insecurities. This week’s P.O.T.W. is such an item…
This tailored grey checked jacket from Rag & Bone really hits the spot and its subtle check is a little more my style. Possessing beautiful brown buttons, a breast pocket just waiting to be filled with a vibrant pocket square and vents with buttons that…pop!
It’s the perfect item to kick off your Autumn 2010 wardrobe.
Gravity Pope are the stockists this week.
Stay Stylish,
Aaron

Gentry Accessory Cases
Great packaging is a real art and most brands understand the importance of an item’s presentation. It helps create the feeling you get when purchase something desirable - from the way you open it to revealing what lies beneath.
Apple are masters of this and invest a lot of time and thought into their packing. And for me at least - it works.
Clothes, however do not get the same treatment. On a rare occasion you may find a pair of vintage denim jeans packaged in a collectors box, but it’s a rarity.

Red Dot Brogues White T-Shirt
This week’s P.O.T.W. features the T-shirt brand Red Dot. In my opinion, T-shirts are at their best when they’re kept simple – a clever print over a classic white colourway is all you really need. This tee shows that the wearer knows a little bit about classic style as well as street style.

Now onto the styling…
We went for a monochromatic style for this look. We began with a white button down cotton shirt and dropped a charcoal grey cardigan over it. To complete the layered look, we paired it with a black tux style blazer. Read More
