John Lewis Gilet
This week’s P.O.T.W. comes from a brand that most young fellas would tend to veer away from, but with a revamped website and some great new collaborations, the big JL or John Lewis are upping their style game for 2010.
We’ve always said change is gonna come! It’s exciting times!
This week we styled up their gilet. You know it’s sexy.
Now due to our re-launch, we have been mad busy and so couldn’t get this post up earlier, so unfortunately it isn’t available anymore. Sorry guys. However we did find a very similar style which is available here.
These style shoots are to provide a little stylistic inspiration for you guys. The gilet is fast becoming a staple in every man’s winter wardrobe. And as you know, it’s winter eight months out of our 12 over on these chilly shores, so you’ll be well advised to invest in one.

Gram 283g
This week as promised on our Twitter page, the P.O.T.W. was going to go through a small make-over, something this guy could do with. We felt that a little change in the way we displayed the products would help freshen things up a tad.
So like our previous video P.O.T.W. posts we’re going to add some styling ideas with the product. All our own ideas.

The Hill Side Washed Cotton Tie
We’ll get straight to the point; call it a Vinnie Jones, no nonsense-style post. What you see above is basically the most used item in my wardrobe: ‘the Tie’.
Ties can spice up most outfits, whether dressed up with a classic suit or worked into a jean, shirt & cardigan combo. Casual ties add an elegant feel to any outfit and this washed cotton by The Hill Side is a prime example.
The texture and look of the fabric is what really helps this particular piece stand out. Drop with a pair of classic camel chinos and casual white shirt for a simple, chic look.
Farfetch are the good people stocking this dapper accessory.

Alexander McQueen Painted Skull T-Shirt
In the wake of the tragic death of one of East London’s most famous fashion exports, the infamous Alexander McQueen, we’ve decided to dedicate our ‘Product of the Week’ to the talented man himself.
Hailing from the London borough of Lewisham, McQueen attended Rokeby School in Newham, our very own borough. McQueen then left with one O-Level in Art, going on to serve an apprenticeship with Savile Row tailors before attending Gieves and Hawkes.
Soon after he rose to fame and eventually started his own label…and the rest is history. Read More

B:SCOTT Fleece Double Snap Mock
A quality coat is something that every man should own. It’s a staple for every stylish guy’s wardrobe and essential, especially if you reside in a country like this, where the weather is as miserable as east London’s 25 bus route.
Once you have finally made the decision on investing in a winter coat, there are a million other things to consider. Should I go for a classic style, shall I keep it neutral, etc. As a rule of thumb, it’s always good to have a good mix of classic and statement pieces.
And although the rule books insist on keeping your outwear simple and classic, we thought we’d show you how to pull off a bit of both.
This exquisite specimen is B:Scott’s Fleece Double Snap Mock (‘Double Snap’ sounds like a cheap chocolate bar found at LiDL) Either way it holds just the right elements of both classic and statement. The timeless navy blue colorway strikes just the right tone for an Autumn/Winter outwear garment, while the unusual silhouette provides lashings of non-conservative stylio.

Stay Stylish folks.
