Apolis Activism Navy Cotton Cashmere Pullover
We don’t really do sportswear here at Individualism and to be honest, we’re not too sure why. Maybe it’s because it’s hardly the most elegant category in menswear or maybe it’s because wearing a hoody in East London doesn’t hold the most positive connotations. But like Will Smith’s lyrical masterpiece, we thought we’d switch it up.
This week’s ‘P.O.T.W’ comes from US brand Apolis Activism. The brand are famous for their red stitched cross which means: ’The sign of relief and an icon for all global citizens committed to quality and change. Apolis Activism applies contemporary design, premium fabrics, and an opportunity to share the value of Trade.’
Their ideals are certainly apparent in this modish navy hooded pullover. Boasting a French twill contrast placket and pocket trim as well as natural Caruso buttons carved from Tagua Nuts (I know it sounds like some sort of India Jones relic), this piece is ticks all the right boxes.

Self Double-Breasted Grey Hoody
This week’s ‘Product of the Week’ comes courtesy of a brand that I have been searching high and low for, for a good few months.
I first spotted it in the concession department in Topman’s Oxford Circus branch and have since been searching the web for weeks on end to find the garment. It seems for now it can only be purchased in the Oxford Street store and on Topman’s website.
So until ’Self’ get off their asses and sort out their website, we’ll have to make do with trusty old Topman.
Anyway, onto the actual garment. Hoodys are now popular; from ’skater’ looks to ‘performance wear’, ‘hip-hop’ culture to ‘emos’, everyone owns at least one hoody. If you happen to be one of those people that don’t, then this is the perfect piece to start you off.
Military-inspired, it sports large brass buttons often found on military tunics and its double-breasted design is bang on trend. It’s three colour variations, (black, light grey & charcoal grey) is enough to keep even the most picky customer satisfied. It’s also great for layering too, especially at this time of year.
To add a little individualism to the look, why not wear it with a shirt and tie? It adds a little formality to the look and certainly cranks up your swagger level.

‘Addict’ Oatmeal SNOOD
A few weeks ago, we featured a product that was a little unusual; a scarf that doubled-up as a cardigan. It not only provided you with that extra bit of warmth but the unique design was guaranteed to turn a few heads, in a good way.
That product was the ‘Junk De Luxe Button Pocket Scarf’ and it was well received by many of our readers. This week, we have managed to find a similar product that similarly serves two purposes and as its getting colder, couldn’t be more fitting.
The picture above shows what is known as a ‘SNOOD’. As described on the Addict website, it’s “kind of like a scarf, a hood and a beanie all in one.”
I couldn’t have put it better myself. Another item that is sure to garner some attention, the SNOOD will keep your neck warm as well as your head. Its oatmeal hue fits in perfectly with the Autumn/Winter colour palette and is neutral enough for you to wear with a variety of jackets and sweaters.
It’s a great ‘pick-up-and-thrown-on’ accessory that pretty much no-one will have. Grab yours now:
