Introducing Street Style Sundays

Welcome to our very first Street Style Sundays post. This will be a regular feature and for those of you paying attention, it will be posted up every Sunday.

The aim is to show and celebrate the variety of styles and the levels of creativity that the men of London possess, while hopefully providing some wardrobe inspiration to those who are in need.

Not everything is going to be to everyones style but there will always be something that you can pick up or, in the very least, appreciate.

So sit back and enjoy and remember the next time you head out that door, make that extra bit of effort. You never know you could be on here next week!

What we really like about Celso’s look is his subtle use of accessories. He’s wearing four pieces; the chain, bracelet, watch and sunglasses, yet they don’t seem to drown out his outfit. He also manages to pair contrasting denims, which is a very hard thing to do.

Occupation: Sam Greenberg -Concession Salesman

Tim’s bag is what really stands out. There aren’t too many guys that feel the need to rock a bag but it can really add to your personal style. There are so many advantages; firstly it removes all the crap from your pockets leaving your clothes in the correct shape. Secondly, it’s another point of interest.

Tim’s vintage varsity jacket is paired well with his spray-on skinnys. Although it’s not my own personal style with the bottoms, Tim wears them well. Without the bag Tim looks cool but nothing special, but with the bag, he stands out a little more. Two thumbs up!

Occupation: Photographer

Harry shows us how simple, plain pieces can work well if put together with a little thought. He’s gone for some neutral colours- white navy grey- yet they all compliment each other so elegantly. Harry’s quirky pocket square adds a little colour and interest too. All in all, it’s a timeless look that isn’t too complicated.

A Bag Week Indeed

It’s the beginning of the week again. That means a weekly roundup of what went on ‘style wise’ during our lives last week.

You know the drill. Let’s get to it.

GOOD LOOK

I spotted this guy and his bag just off Tottenham Court Road. His entire ensemble wasn’t particularly special but what he chose to throw on his back however, was. It’s a perfect example of why used or worn-in leather is so hard to beat; the wrinkles, creases and disproportionate colour saturation oozes character and adventure. It reminds me of the quality leather products produced by Palmers & Sons

To the right is an example of why a new leather bag can still look great. I spotted this fella whilst browsing in Banana Republic. A faultless size and colour, this classic holdall is a little like a good girlfriend; it provides the means to hold all your junk while out and about and gives you something slick and sexy to hold on to.

BAD LOOK

Sports Directs visual merchandising. People tend to underestimate visual merchandising, but the placement of product on a shop floor really does affect how we spend. After witnessing this horror show, I ‘Usain Bolted’ to the exit.

I hate people who smell. Period.

I hate people who smell outside a club, BEFORE a rave, even more! (Yes I’ve had to witness that). The reason being is that it’s not a place where you expect to receive such nasal butchery. Changing rooms however, are a different kettle of fish. We can all expect from time to time to enter a room and be backhanded by the odour of the previous occupant.

This is usually caused by the P.O. stripping off their tops and giving their armpits a right old airing. But socks? Sorry, why the HELL would you ever need to take your socks off? I was greeted with this. In return I will never greet this store. Again. EVER!

It’s funny how when something is on your mind, you spend time focusing on it and seem to notice it everywhere you go. For example, when you’re looking to purchase a new car and have a particular model in mind, they seem to pop up everywhere.
