We introduce…Sports Casual
There are some things that will stand the test of time. That is universally understandable and accepted. In the fashion/style game it’s terms such as Casual, Smart Casual, Sportswear etc.
However we’d thought we’d eff things up a little. We’re introducing the ‘Sports Casual’ dress code. It’s a mix of sportswear and casual clothes. Some would argue that it’s simply ‘Smart Casual’, but with such a focus on the statement sports pieces (the Nike trainers in this case), the word ’sports’ needed exclusive love.
With this shoot we style up some looks with some classic Nike sneaker styles, showing you a variety of ways in which you can sport them (no pun intended). So gain some Sports Casual inspiration, throw away your tracksuits bottoms and just do it (again, no pun intended).

Gram 283g
This week as promised on our Twitter page, the P.O.T.W. was going to go through a small make-over, something this guy could do with. We felt that a little change in the way we displayed the products would help freshen things up a tad.
So like our previous video P.O.T.W. posts we’re going to add some styling ideas with the product. All our own ideas.

Neil Barrett Navy High Top Sneaker
Nowadays there’s a LOT of choice on the sneaker/trainer front. Those of you who are looking for something a little different and want to express their personal style through a unique brand, have a lot of options at your disposal. We covered this a while back with our Underrated Sneaker Brands post, so if you don’t know, get to know.
Remember, for every one good style that comes along, there are about 10 other not-so-great ones. But every once in a while, just when you thought you’d seen it all, a random designer comes along, slaps you in your face and screams: “Wake up! Take notice bitch!”
Neil Barrett slapped us so hard in the face that we had to go for counselling. The fusion of blue on black with a mix of materials makes this sneaker gritty enough for the road, yet regal enough for a King. Damn.
Head straight to Foward Forward with your debit card ready. If you’re overdrawn, don’t worry about it. Take a deep breath and do what you know is necessary.

FLAEK Footwear
So I’m browsing through my daily RSS feeds and I stumbled upon this rather intriguing German sneaker brand. Initially I saw it as a pretty good looking trainer; a simple shape and unfussy design but nothing more. But upon closer inspection, I realised that the sneakers’ tongues were interchangeable.
Now that changed everything up. From a good-looking sneaker they had now upgraded to a stylish, innovative piece of footwear and something worth talking about.
A purple cow as Seth Godin would like to say. It would have been ther ‘Product of the Week’ but they aren’t availble yet.
So here’s a sneak peek.
Enjoy!

Check out the full review by our Aussie pals over at Sneaker Freaker and be kept updated on the sneakers’ development at FLAEK’s very own blog.
P.S. Its packaging is pretty swish too.
